FileZilla

Mezi zajímavé funkce tohoto ftp klienta patří možnost zařadit přenášené soubory do fronty a nechat aplikaci pracovat bez naší nutné přítomnosti. Lze dokonce nastavit, že se celý počítač po dokončení všech přenosů automaticky vypne.

Jinak má klasické uživatelské rozhraní. V nejvyšším okně vidíme, co právě program dělá, ve čtyřech oknech pod tím máme průzkumníka našich disků a na druhé straně složek na serveru. V nejnižším okně je již výše zmíněná fronta.

Projekt FileZilla založil Tim Kosse společně se dvěma spolužáky jako školní IT projekt v lednu roku 2001. Ještě předtím, než začali psát kód se dohodli, že bude uvolněn jako open-source.
